Cultural Food Presentation
By Fadi: Cultural Food
In my life I’ve had a habit for food or everybody did. It seemed everybody ate a minimum of twice a day and drank lots of water, but in different cultures their type of eating gets different. On November 15, 2005 I attended International Culture Week; it was a fun exciting place were different food of different cultures was shown. Also a complete different way of eating was also viewed, but it seemed I was from a different country. I’ve experience many different ideas than what they were trying to view. I was originally born in Saudi Arabia; I was raised there for about 11 years and then came down here; the food that is most popular in Saudi Arabia is rice. It seems in a lot of different countries favor rice, especially in Saudi Arabia. The eating style was different; most people eat with their hands, no spoons, no folks. You use your fingers to hold rice and sit on the group. It was a popular way to eat, and drinks tend to be tea; everybody drinks tea. To me coming here was a different culture which I had to adapt too. It was fun and exciting.
